Description

Houghton North Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1802. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The central entrance has a two-leaf panelled door set in a raised surround, topped with an open pediment supported by curved stone brackets. There is a lintel above the door that is dated. The windows are 20th-century replacements but are located in the original openings. The roof is gabled with flat coping and kneelers, and there are chimney stacks at both ends, with the right stack being renewed in brick.
