Description
46, 48, and 50 High Street are three houses that form a row, dated and inscribed over the archway with "G & I.G. 1816." They feature incised cement render on a chamfered plinth and have graduated greenslate roofs with cement rendered chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys high, with Nos 48 and 50 having two bays, while No. 50 is a single bay and No. 48 has a bay over the archway. No. 46 has a lower roofline and is of slightly later date. There are three steps leading up to panelled doors in stone surrounds that are topped with pediments; No. 46 has a door under a console bracketed cornice. The sash windows in Nos 48 and 50 have glazing bars and are set in painted stone surrounds. No. 46 is included for group value only.
