Description
The wall south-west of The Vicarage is a structure that likely dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It is made of red sandstone, which probably originates from the Roman Fort at Old Carlisle. This wall forms the lower part of the end wall of a two-storey building. On the right side, there is a blocked entrance, while to the left, there is a small window with a chamfered surround. The upper floor features a two-light stone-mullioned window, although only the sill and one jamb of this window remain. The wall is listed partly for its group value with The Vicarage.
