No 10 Including Railings

No. 10 is a house that has been converted into a club, built in the 1870s. It is constructed from calciferous sandstone ashlar and features a chamfered plinth, bracketed strings, a machicolated parapet, and a central gable with columns and a pediment. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and there are end ashlar chimney stacks. The building has three storeys and three bays, with a double-depth plan that includes a central staircase. The entrance features a central panelled door with a fanlight, accessed by steps and set within a Corinthian-columned porch that has a bracketed cornice and ball finials. On either side of the entrance are canted bay windows with bracketed sills and cornices. The first floor has three-light sash windows with colonnettes and stilted heads, while the central window is a two-light sash under a rounded continuous dripmould. The second floor has paired sash windows set in stone architraves. The interior has not been inspected.
