Description

No. 20 Fisher Street is a house that has been converted into a club, dating from the early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork set on a chamfered plinth and has a graduated greenslate roof with 19th-century ridge and end chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of four bays with a double-depth plan. The entrance is marked by an off-centre panelled door with an overlight, framed by an Ionic doorcase that includes a wreathed frieze. The windows are sash style, with glazing bars on the upper floor. Inside, the ground floor has been extensively faced with formica, while some upper-floor rooms still retain original details.
