Description

Springfield is a mid-19th century stucco villa designed in the Italianate style. It features a Welsh slated roof with a bracketed cornice and stands two storeys tall, with a first-floor band. The entrance is marked by a Doric porch, and the windows are sash types set within architrave surrounds. On the south side elevation, there is a canted two-storey bay on the right. Springfield, along with Beaumont Villa and Sunnyside, forms a group of buildings of architectural significance.
