Description

Addison Villas, located on Billing Road, was built in 1880 by Matthew Holding in the Jacobean style. This pair of houses is constructed from red brick and features a tiled roof with two Dutch gables. The buildings have basements, three storeys, and attics. Notable architectural features include a pair of two-storey canted bay windows with flat roofs and wooden balustrades. The first-floor window aprons are adorned with relief mouldings of swags and paterae. The end bays are recessed and have bracketed door heads, with floor and sill bands. The windows are casements, topped with flat and segmental arches. Nos 34 to 38, which are consecutive, form a group.
