Description
This is a row of late 19th-century houses built in the Carolean style by Matthew Holding. Numbers 81 to 87 St Giles Street comprise seven properties. They are constructed of red brick with tiled roofs, each house featuring a gable. The buildings have basements, three storeys, and attics. Each house has three windows. The upper floors have segmental arches with thin brick pilasters. The ground floor has bay windows, and the doorcases are painted and linked by a coved cornice. First-floor balconies are present, featuring railings. The east-facing return elevation of number 87 features two gables and a two-storeyed wing.
