Description
St Giles' Church School was built between 1858 and 1861 by E. F. Law. The building is constructed of squared rubble dressed with red brick and features Welsh slated roofs. It has pointed arched casement windows with stone mullions and an irregular plan. The right side of the building includes a one-storey range with five windows and a gabled porch, while the left side has a gabled block with a tall window. There is a recessed central two-storey linking range with a squat tower on the left. The careful treatment of materials includes some herringbone pattern stonework. This school is included for its group value with Nos 1 to 8 (consecutive) and St Giles' Church.
