Description

These buildings, numbered 4 and 5 Spencer Parade, were constructed between 1836 and 1841 in a Jacobean style. They are built of stucco, with a Welsh slate roof concealed behind a pierced parapet. The central section is three stories high with a four-window arrangement, while the flanking wings are two stories high with two windows each. Gabled porches, featuring buttresses, are present. Number 5 has been altered, whereas Number 4 retains original details including dripmoulds, pinnacles and shields. Numbers 1 to 8 Spencer Parade form a group value context with Number 1 Cheyne Walk.
