Description

Seale's Farm is a 17th-century house constructed from squared coursed limestone and ironstone, topped with a slate roof and featuring brick and stone stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a total of four bays. The main entrance, located in the second bay from the right, showcases a stone four-centred arch, a hood with diamond-shaped stops, and a ridged plank door that likely dates from the 17th century. The doorway in the second bay from the left has a square stone hood and a 19th-century six-panel door.

Between these doorways, there is a three-light window with stone mullions and a square hood. The right bay contains a three-light casement window with a square stone hood and wooden mullions. On the first floor, the left bay features three-light stone mullion windows, and the second bay from the right also has similar windows. There is a blocked two-light window in the second bay from the left and a three-light wooden casement window with a square stone hood in the right bay. A gabled dormer is present, which has a two-light casement window with leaded panes. The gable ends are coped and include kneelers.

Inside, the kitchen is equipped with an open fireplace and stop-chamfered spine beams. A 17th-century bacon cupboard is fixed to the ceiling, featuring a wooden lattice base and wooden pendants at the corners. The staircase is from the 19th century. The building is said to have a datestone from 1677.
