Description
Celanlea is a house dating from the 17th to 18th century, constructed from squared coursed ironstone and limestone, with an artificial stone slate roof and brick stacks. The building has a T-plan layout and features a street front that is two storeys tall with an attic, consisting of two bays. On the ground floor, there are two three-light casement windows with wooden lintels and original wooden mullions, while the first floor has similar but smaller windows, all with leaded panes. The left side of the house includes one-light windows with wooden lintels at the mezzanine and attic levels. The entrance is located at the rear and features a 20th-century lean-to porch made of stone and timber, along with a four-panel half-glazed door in a wooden frame. Inside, the house boasts stop-chamfered spine beams, an original winder staircase, and an open fireplace. There is also a 17th or 18th-century fitted oak cupboard with panelled doors, framed by fluted pilasters and a dentil cornice.
