Description

No. 17 is a cottage located on Church Lane in Middleton Cheney, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone and limestone rubble, topped with an artificial stone slate roof and flanked by brick stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring two bays. The doorway in the right bay has a plank door with a wooden lintel that extends over the window to the left, which is a two-light wooden casement. On the first floor, there are two similar windows beneath a continuous wooden lintel. A 20th-century dormer is present as well. The interior has not been inspected, and the cottage is included for its group value.
