Description
No. 6 Red Lion Street is a cottage located in Cropredy, dating from the mid-18th century with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and squared, coursed ironstone, topped with a steeply pitched thatched roof and featuring a brick internal stack. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The central entrance is highlighted by a thatched rustic porch, a panelled and glazed door, and moulded wood frames. On either side of the entrance are three-light metal casements set in wood frames, with wood lintels above. The first floor features two seven-light windows of a similar style, complete with wrought-iron casement fasteners and wood lintels. Access to the entrance is via two steps. The interior has not been inspected.
