Description

Kalenders is a cottage located on the north side of Red Lion Street in Cropredy, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with a brick internal stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a two-window range. The entrance, located to the right, includes a panelled and glazed door set within a moulded wood frame, topped by a hipped thatched hood and accessed by semi-circular stone steps. To the left of the entrance, there are two three-light metal casements in wood frames, each with chamfered wood lintels. On the first floor, there are two similar two-light windows, which are fitted with crown glass, wrought-iron casement fasteners, and lead cames. The interior has not been inspected.
