Description

No. 5 Red Lion Street is a cottage located in Cropredy, dating from the mid-18th century with 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched roof covered with renewed thatch. There is a brick stack at one end. The cottage has a one-unit plan and is two storeys high with a two-window range. The entrance, located to the left, has a 20th-century door and a thatched hood above it. To the right, there is a four-light metal casement window set in a wooden frame with a wooden lintel. On the first floor, there are two two-light metal casement windows, also in wooden frames, each with chamfered wooden lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
