Description

No. 11 Byfield Road is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble, with the street-facing side finished in brick and topped with a thatched roof and a brick stack. The building has two storeys and two bays. The right bay features a three-light casement window with wooden lintels, while the left bay has two-light casement windows with wooden lintels on both floors. The first-floor windows have old iron casements. The entrance is located on the left side and includes a wooden lintel and a plank door. Inside, there is an original winder staircase to the right of the entrance, an open fireplace, and the original roof structure.
