Description

No. 23 Main Road is an early 18th-century cottage constructed from coursed squared ironstone and limestone, along with coursed rubble. It features a thatched roof with flanking brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. The central doorway is framed by a moulded wood surround and a flat wooden hood, leading to a 20th-century door. To the left, there is a 20th-century bay window, while the right side has a two-light casement window. The first floor has similar windows. The right gable end is coped and includes kneelers. The interior has not been inspected.
