Description

This cottage dates from around 1770. It is constructed of red brick with a striking vertical pattern created using blue bricks, and has a corrugated iron roof, with a brick chimney stack on the left. The cottage is two storeys high with an attic, and comprises a single bay. It features three-light casement windows on both floors, each with flat-arched brick surrounds. The gable ends are topped with stone copings. A small two-light casement window with a wooden lintel is located in the attic on the left side.

An extension was added to the right around 1850, built of brick with a slate roof and a brick chimney stack. This extension has two storeys and one bay. The doorway in the left bay has a stucco lintel and a four-panel door. A six-pane sash window with a stucco lintel is located to the right, along with a similar window on the first floor. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
