Description
Queens Cottage is a house dating from the 17th to 18th century, constructed of stone and brick with pebble dash. It features an artificial stone slate roof and rendered stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a total of four bays. The doorway, located in the second bay from the left, has a wooden lintel and a ridged plank door. All windows are fitted with wooden lintels supported by small wooden brackets. To the left, there is a three-light window with original wooden mullions and an iron casement, along with three similar windows to the right and additional similar windows on the first floor. The house also has 20th-century gabled dormers. Inside, the property has been altered in the 19th century, but retains original chamfered spine beams, although the slips have been renewed. There is an open fireplace and a bread oven. The cottage is included for its group value.
