Description
The Beeches is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with a one-bay extension added to the right in the 19th century. It is constructed of uncoursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with a thatched roof and featuring brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays.
On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century bay window in the center with wooden casements and a flat lead roof. To the left, there is a window with a wooden lintel and a 20th-century two-light wooden casement. The left bay has a three-light window with a wooden lintel, original wooden mullion, and iron casement. The division between the two sections of the building is marked by squared quoins. The right bay contains a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel, and a similar window on the first floor has an iron casement. A datestone from 1831 is located to the right. Other first-floor windows are 19th-century, featuring two lights with wooden casements and wooden lintels. The entrance is located at the rear.
Inside, the building was remodeled in the 20th century and features stop-chamfered spine beams.
