Description

Chacombe House Lodge is a house that has been divided into two dwellings, with a datestone indicating it was built in 1654. The structure is made of coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with an artificial stone slate roof and features brick and stone stacks. It has a T-plan layout, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with three bays.

On the ground floor, there are four-light stone mullioned windows in the left and right bays, and a similar two-light window in the second bay from the left. All these windows have square hoods that extend as a string course. The first floor features three-light windows with moulded wood mullions and wood lintels in the outer bays, and a similar two-light window in the second bay from the left. The doorways on the left and right sides date from the 19th to 20th century.

On the right side, there are stone mullioned windows with four lights on the ground floor, three lights on the first floor, and two lights in the attic, with the square hood of the ground floor window continuing as a string course. The building has 20th-century dormers and coped gable ends with kneelers. At the rear, there is a projecting wing, likely dating from the 17th to 18th century, which is one storey and has an attic, a coped gable with kneelers, and a gable stack. The interior has not been inspected.
