Description
Parva House is a house that has been divided into two dwellings, dated 1631 and altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone and ironstone, topped with a slate roof and featuring stone end and ridge stacks with blue brick flues. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. There is a 19th-century part-glazed door to the right of the centre, which has a timber lintel. To the left of the door is an 8-pane horned sash window, and there is a similar sash window on the first floor to the right. The remaining windows are three-light casements, all with timber lintels. The gables are stone-coped and have kneelers. A datestone inscribed with "1631" is located at the base of the ridge stack. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams and a pair of fitted cupboards in the upper room that feature HL hinges.
