Description
This is a cottage located at 1 High Street, dating from the 18th century with 19th-century additions and alterations. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a tiled roof, featuring brick ridge and end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories high with a three-window range.
On the ground floor, there is a part-glazed door to the right of the center, which has a segmental brick head above it. To the left of the door, there is a two-light casement window with a similar segmental brick head. A bay window is positioned to the right of the door, with its roof extending as a hood over the door. To the left of the door, there is a plank door with a timber lintel, a small square window to the far left, and a three-light casement window to the right of the door, both featuring timber lintels. The first floor has two-light casement windows, all with timber lintels. There is also a two-story brick extension on the right side of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
