Description
No. 34 High Street is a house from the 18th century with later alterations. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and has a plain-tile roof with a brick stack at the right end. The house features a two-unit plan, stands two storeys tall with an attic, and has a three-window range. The central entrance has a part-glazed door topped by a long wooden lintel. The ground and first floors have three-light casement windows, with the ground floor windows featuring long stop-chamfered wooden lintels. To the left, there is a lower two-storey extension from the 19th century, which is painted brick. Inside, the house has ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a stop-chamfered bressumer.
