Description

This is an 18th-century cottage located on the east side of High Street, in Greens Norton. It is built of coursed limestone rubble, with a slate roof that replaced a thatched roof. A brick stack is situated on the left end of the building. The cottage has a two-unit plan and a two-storey, two-window facade. A central part-glazed door is set within a 20th-century timber porch. The ground and first floors each feature two-light casement windows with wood lintels. A door on the right side provides access to a passage, also with a wood lintel. The left gable wall incorporates a two-light, chamfered wood mullion window on the first floor. A small, rectangular, blocked window is located to the right of the first-floor window on the right side.
