Description

Home Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered over time and is now used as a house. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble with fine jointing, featuring ironstone quoins and copings with moulded kneelers. The steeply pitched slate roof is adorned with three ridge and end stacks; the left end stack is made of stone, while the ridge stack has brick shafts on a stone base, and the right end stack has a rendered base. The building has two storeys plus an attic and a three-window range.

On the ground floor, there are three casement windows that retain their original wooden lintels. The first floor includes three windows, two of which are three-light casements with wooden lintels, and there is a 20th-century skylight. The entrance is located at the rear, where an off-centre doorway to the left features panelled reveals and a panelled door with a hood above. To the left of the doorway is a three-light casement window, while a window to the right has glazing bars. There is also a tall wood-mullioned window to the right with glazing bars.

On the first floor, there are two three-light windows, one of which has glazing bars and wooden lintels. A two-storey extension to the left includes a panelled door with a wooden lintel, a blocked window opening with a wooden lintel, and a three-light casement to the left, along with a two-light attic casement. The interior is said to feature an inglenook fireplace and original panelled doors.
