Description

The stable block of West House is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located on Scarhouse Lane in Arkengarthdale. It features rubble construction with quoins and a stone slate roof. The ground floor includes two doorways leading to the stables, a small round-arched coach opening with voussoirs, and external stone steps that lead to a boarded door of the hay-loft above. There is also a six-pane sash window on the first floor. This building is included in the listing partly for its group value with nearby structures.
