Description
The stable block located to the south of Church Farmhouse dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a half-hipped stone slate roof. The building is a single long range, consisting of a single storey with a loft.
On the west side, there is a single light window at each end, a 2-light stone mullion window in the centre, and a door on each side. The left-hand door has chamfered stone lintel blocks and quoins, and it is boarded with a single small pane. The right-hand door is a stable door set under a timber lintel. The single light window to the right also has a timber lintel. Additionally, there is a loft door on the north side that features a cat hole at the base. This stable block is included for its group value with the nearby Church Farmhouse.
