Description

No 19 is a detached house located on the east side of the A433 in Barnsley Village, with a datestone indicating it was built in 1698. The building features coursed rubble stone with flush quoins and has a stone slate roof, which includes a single central stone ridge stack with a rebuilt stone flue. It has a single range and a lobby entry plan, consisting of one storey and an attic.

On the north side, there are two gables, each containing a two-light chamfered stone mullion window with a square hoodmould. The ground floor features three-light chamfered stone mullion windows with square hoodmoulds flanking a central chamfered stone doorway. This doorway has very large flush quoins and a recessed fielded six-panel door, topped with a gabled hood that is likely from the late 19th century. Additionally, there is a single-storey wing added to the east in the 20th century.
