Description
Nos 15 and 16 are a pair of cottages dating from 1776, as indicated by the datestone "WM/1776" on the front wall of No 15. They are constructed from thin coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins and feature a stone slate roof, along with two stone stacks and one brick stack. The cottages are single storey with an attic.
On the ground floor, No 16 has two 2-light wood casements with flush quoins and timber lintels, along with a central boarded door. No 15 features a single 2-light metal casement to the right, with a timber lintel, and a plank door to the left. Both cottages have doors that are topped with gabled hoods, likely added in the early 20th century, supported by wooden brackets. There are four gabled dormers that are stone slate hung, each with 2-light metal casements. No 15 also has a long single storey rear extension, which is not of special interest.
