Description
No 12 is a former pair of cottages that has been converted into one house, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. The building is constructed of random coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with two stone stacks—one with a steeply sloping offset and the other with a rebuilt ridge. It is a single long range, two storeys high with an attic in the gable end. The facade facing the road has one three-light and one two-light replaced multi-pane casement window on each floor, both set under new timber lintels on the ground floor and with concrete sills. There are two old timber lintels towards the centre, indicating probable former openings. The rear of the building has three small gables at the eaves and one gabled dormer, along with a 20th-century entrance below a lean-to porch on the left.
