Description
Oak Tree Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the early 19th century. It is built of coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins and features a stone slate roof with stone end stacks. The cottage has a single front range with a rear lean-to extension on the right and a 20th-century wing extension to the left at the rear. It stands two storeys tall and has two windows, which are paired leaded wooden casements set in shallow reveals with flush quoins and timber lintels. On the ground floor, there is a 3-light window to the right, a 2-light window in the centre, and a door on the left that is accessed by three concrete steps and has a flat concrete hood supported by brackets. The boarded door includes a single small light, and it is likely that the doorway was originally positioned in the centre.
