Description

This is a large cottage, dating to the late 17th century, with a later 20th-century extension. It is constructed of rubble stone, partly coursed, with a stone slate roof. A stone stack is located at the left end, featuring an offset, and a smaller stone ridge stack is on the extension. The original cottage is a long, two-story range. To the right is a two-gable extension of single storey and attic. The original cottage has one three-light and one two-light chamfered leaded stone mullion window on the first floor, with matching, but un-leaded, windows on the ground floor. The original central door, formerly topped with a segmental stone arch, is now filled with a 20th-century metal window and a vertical board and batten door, which has been relocated to the left-hand side of the extension and is sheltered by a flat stone hood on wooden supports.
