Description

The Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble stone and feature alternating flush quoins, topped with a stone slate roof that has stone end stacks. The cottages are arranged in a single range with a rear lean-to that forms a cat slide roof, and they stand two storeys high. Each cottage has four windows, with two paired metal casements in each (some leaded on No 43), and they are accented by flush quoins and timber lintels. On the ground floor, there is a three-light window on the outer side of both cottages, central boarded doors that are sheltered by a flat concrete hood on wooden brackets, and a two-light window on the inner side, all featuring timber lintels.
