Description

Nos 18 and 19 Cockles are a pair of cottages, likely originally built as one house, dating from the 18th century. The walls are constructed of rubble stone up to the first floor level, with plaster above this, and they feature thatched roofs and brick end stacks. The cottages are two storeys high. There is a lean-to extension to the south of No. 19, which has stone walls and a tiled roof.

No. 18 has a ledged door with a glass panel set in a timber porch that has a gabled tiled roof. The ground floor includes two casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three horizontally sliding sash windows, also with glazing bars. No. 19 features a ledged door in a modern timber porch with a tiled roof, and its first floor has one horizontally sliding sash window with glazing bars.
