Description

The Post Office is part of a terrace of cottages, likely built in the 18th century. The cottages feature plastered walls, thatched roofs, and brick stacks, and are two storeys tall.

No. 6, which houses the Post Office, has a ledged door and two modern shop windows with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are two horizontally sliding sash windows, one with glazing bars and the other with lead lights. There is an extension to the east, constructed in a similar style, which likely started as a barn.

No. 7 has a ledged door and three horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor. The first floor has three similar windows, one with glazing bars and two with lead lights.

No. 8 features a lean-to extension to the west under a thatched catslide roof. It has a ledged door with a glass panel. The ground floor includes one horizontally sliding sash window and one casement window, both with glazing bars, while the first floor has two similar casement windows. The main room on the ground floor has a large open fireplace.
