SY8682 EAST LULWORTH COCKLES 16/128 20.11.59 Nos 25, 26 and 27 GV II

Terrace of three cottages. No. 25, probably C18. Stone walls, repaired in brick, thatched roof, brick stacks. One storey and attics. Brick and stone porch with slate lean-to roof, has part-glazed door. Ground floor has two casement windows with glazing bars. Attic has two dormers with similar casements. RCHM Monument 8. No. 26 - the centre cottage - may be a late "infill". Probably late C18. Plastered walls, thatched roof, brick stacks. One storey and attics. Porch, with slate lean-to roof, has ledged door and fixed window. Ground floor has one casement window with glazing bars. Attic has two dormers with similar casements. Single-storey rear extension with tiled roof. No. 27, probably C17, has stone and flint walls, thatched roof and brick stacks. One storey and attics. Lean-to on south with slate roof. Ledged door in timber gabled porch. Ground floor has one casement window and one horizontally sliding sash, both with glazing bars. Attic has two dormers, one with casements, one with horizontally sliding sashes, both with glazing bars - apparently in original oak frames. RCHM Monument 9.
