Description
Nos 3 and 4 are a pair of cottages, probably from the 18th century, with a modern extension to the east. No. 3 features rubble stone walls, a thatched roof, and brick stacks, while the east extension has rendered walls. The cottages are one storey with attics. No. 3 has a ledged door in a timber trellised porch with a gabled roof. The ground floor includes two casement windows with glazing bars, and the attic has two half-dormers with similar casements. No. 4 has brick walls, a thatched roof, and brick stacks, one of which is shared with No. 3. It is also one storey with attics, but the slightly lower section to the west has rubble stone walls and a thatched roof. This cottage features a part-glazed door, three horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor, and two dormers with similar sashes in the attic. There is a stone boundary wall surrounding both cottages, topped with brick coping.
