Description

No. 20 Cockles is the northernmost cottage in a terrace, likely built in the 18th century. It features plastered walls and a thatched roof, with brick stacks at the ends. The cottage is one storey with attics, and there is a single-storey extension to the north that has stone walls and a hipped thatched roof. The entrance includes a ledged door set in a brick porch topped with a tiled gabled roof. On the ground floor, there are two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The attic contains three half-dormers: one with casement windows and two with horizontally sliding sashes, all featuring glazing bars. The extension also has a similar window.
