Description
Bridle Halt is a terrace of five cottages, now functioning as two, dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubblestone and features a thatched roof that is hipped at the ends. It stands two storeys tall.
No. 21, which is closer to the street, has three bays. The left bay contains a three-light casement window and a blocked door, the centre bay has a door on the left and a two-light casement window, while the right bay has two two-light casement windows. The upper floor features two-light leaded casement windows in the two left bays, with a loft door to the right. The street-facing side has a boarded door and a loft hatch above. There is a party stack located between the right-hand bays.
No. 22 consists of four bays and has leaded casement windows, except for the right-hand ground floor window, which is a timber three-light casement. There is a continuous oak lintel above the ground floor openings, and the door in the second bay has a four-centred head. The building also features an end stack and a party stack.
