Description
Mannings Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered over time. It is built from coursed rubblestone and features a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with four wide bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door located in front of a chimney stack, which creates a 'lobby-entry' plan. Above the door is a hood with panelled sides, front, and soffits, supported by trellised brackets. The windows are three-light casements, with two lights in the right bay and on the first floor. Oak lintels are used above the windows. A Britannia fire insurance plaque is displayed above the door. The attic has gable windows, and there are chimney stacks on the left gable and in the center. At the rear, there is a one-storey stone wing with a slate roof, which features a slate roof verandah supported by posts along the rear elevation. The rear also includes two dormer windows and a six-panel rear door with a reeded surround.
