Description

This is a cottage from the 18th century located at 29 Common Street. It features coursed rubblestone on the lower level, while the upper floor is fronted with brick and topped with a thatch roof. The building has two bays and one storey, with a south wing that is a single storey. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door beneath an open gabled hood supported by brackets. The left bay has leaded casements, while the right bay has timber barred casements. The upper windows are designed with eaves-breaking eyebrows, and there are brick gable stacks. The south wing is constructed from stone, also with a thatch roof, and has a boarded door.
