Description

The Post Office and Ravenstone Forge is a house with an attached forge building, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone with a thatched roof, while the forge has a brick front. The building features three bays and two storeys. There is a four-panel door located between the right-hand bays, and a modern shop window on the left. The other windows are three-light casements. Brick stacks are present at both ends and between the left-hand bays. To the left, the single-storey forge has a brick front and includes a two-light window, with each light consisting of six panes arranged two high. A gable stack is also present.
