Description

This is a group of three cottages, numbered 14, 15, and 16, located on Common Street in Ravenstone. They were built in the 18th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed rubble stone and have thatched roofs. Each cottage is two bays wide and two stories high. Each has a central doorway flanked by two-light leaded casement windows, with the upper windows set into the thatch. The doorways are each sheltered by a gabled timber porch on posts; the porch to number 14 has glazed sides, the central porch (number 15) is thatched, and the porch to number 16 has a glazed door. To the north of the cottages is a single-story thatched extension. The gables and party walls feature brick stacks.
