Description

These are three attached cottages located on the north side of Fore Street in Evershot. Dating to the 18th century, they were later altered in the 19th century with new windows. The cottages have stone walls that have been roughly cast and painted, and a thatched roof with a gable at the left-hand end and a rounded corner at the right-hand end. A brick stack is located on the left-hand gable, and there are three rendered stacks on the ridge at the party walls. The cottages are two storeys high and have a uniform appearance with six windows in total; these windows are 2- and 3-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, set into wooden frames, and have wooden cills. Number 32 has a 20th-century plank door with a single glass light towards its right end. Number 34 has two plank doors centrally positioned, and number 36 has a 20th-century plank door with a single glass light at its centre.
