Description
The stable block, coach house, and barn located immediately south-east of The Mansion date from the 17th century and were largely rebuilt in the 19th century. The structure features a stone panel with the initials and date I, and M.C. 1681. It has rubble-stone walls that are rendered and painted, tapering to a sharp corner on the north side, and is topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has five windows with irregular fenestration. This includes two 2-light stone mullions—one with a square section and key, and the other hollow-chamfered with a moulded frame—as well as 2- and 3-light casements above. On the ground floor, there is a 2-leaf carriage entrance positioned to the right of centre, along with a 19th-century stable door set in a square bay to the right.
