No 1 West Street is a detached house dated 1782, as indicated by a stone tablet above the front door. The front walls are made of squared rubble stone, while the side walls are constructed from random rubble. The house has a slate roof with gable ends and features a brick stack at the west gable end. It stands two storeys tall and has three windows, which are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars. The door, located to the left of centre, is a plank door with one glass light and a weatherboard, dating from the 19th century.
