Description
Nos 44, 45, and 46 on West Street are three attached cottages that were rebuilt in the mid-19th century. They feature rubble stone walls and a slate roof with projecting boxed eaves and gable ends at the east. The cottages have 19th-century brick stacks located on the ridge, at the party wall between Nos 44 and 45, and between Nos 45 and 46. The buildings are two storeys high and have a total of six windows. The ground floor windows are three-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, while the first floor has two-light casements. All windows have wooden cills, and dressed stone voussoirs create segmental heads above them. The front doors, which date from the 20th century, are plank doors with one square light in the upper half. The door for No 44 is on the left side, No 45 has its door in the centre, and No 46's door is also on the left side.
