Description

No. 49 West Street is an attached cottage that was originally three separate cottages, dating from the mid-19th century. The building features random rubble-stone walls and a slate roof with boxed eaves. There are brick stacks at each end of the structure. It stands two storeys tall and has three windows, which are 2- and 3-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars and wooden sills, topped with dressed stone voussoirs. The front door, located to the right of the centre, is a plank door with one glass light, also from the 19th century.
